What are phrasal verbs?Â
Phrasal verbs are non-literal phrases that convey figurative meaning.
For example when someone ‘hangs out’ with their friends, they aren’t literally hanging; instead, they are spending time with their friends. When a criminal ‘comes clean’ they aren’t less dirty; rather, they have decided to confess to all their crimes!
